The In Between...waiting
I grew up in a city full of bridges. The city itself is an Island made up of small little Islands and bridges which are required to connect from one Island to the other. Some bridges are bigger or longer than others and it is usually relative to the size of the Island you are going to but you can’t move ahead without first getting on the bridge and secondly moving.
Stretch into it!
Stretch, Stretch, Stretch! I can't say it enough! I recall a time when the word 'stretch' was laid on my heart so intensely. I heard it clearly 'stretch'! I wasn't in the middle of exercise so it definitely wasn't an instruction to carry out my next physical activity. Over that period, I came across it almost daily; everywhere I turned and every sermon I listened to referenced it.
Planted in Him
A genuine apple tree will never bare oranges, or even pineapples because even though they may all be classed as fruits, they are not if they same type/ species. The seed, texture and conditions required to cultivate them are different. Similarly, if we truly want to be of God and yield the fruit of the Spirit, we must be planted in Him.
That He may know me
If a poll was carried out to ask believers whether they have a relationship with Jesus, most people would answer ‘yes’ but the sad reality is that this not true and we see that in this scripture. Not every church goer, believer, title holder and leader has a true relationship with God and sees Him as Lord.
Change your perspective…Praise!
There are so many benefits of praising God and we see this throughout scripture. One of the most profound things praising God does is it lifts us and helps us to see God above our circumstances and even ourselves. Praising God changes our atmosphere and magnifies God above situations we may be faced with. Praise is an action that every living being is commanded to do.
The Resurrected Life
Happy Resurrection Season!!! His is risen!!!Jesus is alive!!!Christ is risen!!!Are you living the resurrected life? The beauty of what Christ did on the cross is that not only did He die and resurrect for us, but He called us to live this resurrected life with Him. This means that we live a life in which we die to self, our old sin nature and resurrect to this new life in Christ.
Tuned to God
Imagine you hear a beautiful melody being played by a pianist. You are sitting there enjoying the music and then suddenly the guitarist starts strumming and you are startled in a not so good way. Not because the guitarist doesn’t know what he is doing, in fact he is reputable and is playing from the same music sheet with the pianist but something is still off. It is soon discovered that the issue here is simply because the guitar is out of tune. Just like instruments need to be tuned often in order to function as they should, we too need to keep our hearts in tune with God so we can move according to His rhythm and be in perfect alignment with Him.
Pray through it!
To someone reading this, don’t give up!!! Sometimes in life, we are faced with difficult circumstances which may cause us to want to give up.
Maybe you have been praying for something for so long you have lost track and can’t see the end in sight or you have been praying but things keep getting worse. Maybe you have been holding on to a promise God made to but your circumstances seem far away from that promise.
